HomeEventsSay what?? Abrusci’s Fire & Vine Opened a Food Truck?

So what’s the deal with Pablito’s Burritos Food Truck in the Abrusci’s Fire & Vine parking lot?! This seemingly crazy idea actually didn’t just come out of the blue, but has been in the works for some time now. Yes, we know you are all picturing Abrusci’s Fire & Vine management—Jeff and Nancy Progar (Owners), Marvin Williams (GM and husband of Tatum), and Tatum McGinnis (Manager and wife of Marvin)—all in Jeff’s kitchen rolling burritos into the wee hours of the morning trying to perfect The Best Damn Breakfast Burrito…Period! This humorous mental image is actually quite accurate since these four have spent hundreds of hours refining these incredible breakfast burritos.

The idea for a burrito truck was not only to fill a gap in the industry and offer AMAZING, grab and go breakfast burritos in Applewood, but was also created out of a desire to elevate the benefit and compensation packages of employees. Anyone familiar with the restaurant industry knows that health insurance for restaurant staff is hard to come by. However, Fire & Vine is known for doing things a little differently. With Jeff and Marvin’s ongoing commitment to the health and wellbeing of staff, they made it a goal for a portion of the truck’s proceeds to go towards additional benefit packages.

The name…where did we get that name? Inspired by one of our seasoned kitchen managers. Pablito’s came from the quirky tradition of some of the kitchen staff putting ‘lito at the end of everyone’s names. Pablito’s was just the name we chose, but you are certainly welcome to join in the fun and ask for Marv-lito, Tre-lito or….Mike 🙂  next time you’re in!

Just opening a generic burrito truck was not enough, we knew we had to have an incredible breakfast burrito that made people’s eyes roll back in their head in delight. With four amazing signature options; The Best Damn Burrito…Period!, The Pit, The TreeHugger and The Amore, Pablito’s Burritos will make you rethink what a breakfast burrito should be.
